Budweiser Reveals Super Bowl Ad Plans
(ST. LOUIS) -- Anheuser-Busch announced five new ads for the Super Bowl XLVIII broadcast on Feb. 2, including a continuation of the "Brotherhood" story that tugged at viewers' heart strings with the famous Budweiser horses.
The company is launching a new creative campaign called "The Perfect Beer for Whatever Happens," with two 90-second commercials telling an "Epic Night" story. Celebrity cameos are expected.
"The Super Bowl is the biggest moment in sports and advertising,” said Paul Chibe, the company's U.S. marketing vice president. “With the largest television audience of the year, it’s an unprecedented opportunity and we make the most of it. We have a game plan in place this year to deliver creative that celebrates Bud Light and Budweiser while reaching loyal beer drinkers and new generations.”
Another 30-second ad, "So Cool," will showcase Bud Light's new reclosable aluminum bottle, claiming the highly coveted first spot during the game.
Other commercials include a 60-second and 30-second ad featuring the Budweiser Clydesdales. In 2013's Super Bowl, the iconic horses appeared in the "Brotherhood" spot. This time around in "Puppy Love," they return alongside a 10-week-old dog who earns a place on their team.
