Burn Ban Lifted

(PRESTON, ID) – The burn ban in Franklin County has now been lifted. The ruling was effective as of Tuesday at 8 a.m. Poor air quality in the upper Cache Valley forced the state Department of Environmental Quality to ban all wood-burning in stoves and the outdoors for several weeks until the high pressure inversion cleared. Mandatory restrictions remain in place for northern Utah and Logan until March 1.
