The 16-year-old boy, whose name has not been released, has called the self-styled “America’s Toughest Sheriff” everything from some not-so-nice names to even going so far as to threaten to kill his family, the sheriff’s office said in a statement.

The sheriff’s office said the latest threat, which came through their website over the weekend, was issued shortly after the teen was released from a psychiatric facility in Alberta, Canada.

The sheriff’s office said that in the threat the teen wrote that he “will never stop until I am put away for good. …I hate you so much that I will travel to Arizona to chop off your b—s off with a meat cleaver and turn you into a woman.”

The bad blood between Arpaio and the teen has been well-chronicled by the sheriff’s office since last summer when Arpaio said he first began receiving the threats.

The teen was arrested last year by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police after making his second and third threats against Arpaio and was warned against contacting him, according to the sheriff’s office.

Arpaio said Canadians should be concerned for their safety while the unidentified teen remains free.

“This person appears mentally unbalanced and authorities cannot prevent him from acting out his aggressions,” the sheriff said. “While laws in Canada may be different, it is still imperative that police recognize the danger someone like this young man poses against not just me, but people in general.”
