(NBA) — Australian phenom Dante Exum, one of the more talented basketball prospects in the world, has officially declared for the 2014 NBA Draft.
Exum had been meeting with different agency groups but it was unknown if he was indeed ready to make the leap to the NBA. Now, he’s come to terms with agents Rob Pelinka and Brandon Rosenthal of Landmark Sports.
“We are excited be working with Landmark Sports,” Exum and his parents, Cecil and Desiree, said in a statement to ESPN. “Our family felt the Landmark Team represented our style and manner of treating people, and in doing businesses. We also all shared a common commitment to achieving excellence in all things. The fit is just great and we are really pleased to now begin the work.”
The 18-year-old Exum is considered one of the top-five prospects in an already star-studded draft. He’s rated No. 4 by ESPN’s Top 100 prospect list. Exum (6′-6”, 188 pounds) can play both guard positions, but is expected to play point guard in the NBA.
