Vasi plays the fashionable best friend of Keisha Green, played by Lisa Raye McCoy, and April Goldberg, portrayed by Charity Shea, and reveals to ABC News Radio that one of her friendships hits a rough patch this season.

“[It’s] basically about a friend feeling hurt that another friend left in a time of need,” Vasi hints. “And the other friend…not thinking. When she came back she thought that things were going to kind of pick up where they left off. And we all know that time passes and things change.”

Fans will have to tune in to find out which friendship turns cold for Vasi’s character. Still, the 30-year-old actress does reveal exactly how her man-crazy character, Raquel, will change in the upcoming season.

“This season we’re going to see a much more grounded Raquel. She’s definitely, from the beginning of season three, going to make a definitive decision to focus more on her career and herself,” she dishes. “And with that she’s kind of growing into her own and you’re going to see some other sides of her personality — a little more sass and she’s going to put her foot down. She kind of grows up between season two and season three.”

R&B singer Letoya Luckett joins the third season of Single Ladies, playing Felicia Price, one of the most ruthless women on the Atlanta music scene.

“Letoya is joining us this season to be our resident mean girl. So we’re really excited,” Vasi says.

Vasi also reveals that Luckett is nothing like her character in real life.

“She’s a funny girl,” Vasi says of the former Destiny’s Child band member. “She runs around set and cracks a lot of jokes and she’s very, very sweet so she’s kind of blended into the group really well.”

The season also features guest appearances from actress Keke Palmer and rappers Future, Ja Rule and Meek Mill.

VH1’s Single Ladies is set to premiere Monday, Jan. 6, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
