“You’re talking about one of the greatest plays in Seahawks history. Within a minute-thirty there is a microphone. This is not an excuse, but what can we have done better,” Vincent, a former cornerback, told ABC Sports Radio Wednesday. “It’s an emotional game.”

Sherman has since apologized for his actions and has been fined for the way he acted towards the 49ers bench after the game.

Vincent, who is now the Sr. Vice President of the NFL Player Engagement, never won a Super Bowl during his 14-year career, but says he would enjoy playing outside in Super Bowl 48 at MetLife Stadium.

“As an athlete, you just adapt,” Vincent said.  “Doesn’t matter whether its 95 degrees or 15 below zero, everyone’s going to be cold.  You adapt and play football.”
