Appropriately, coming to calm his nerves were Bob Saget, John Stamos and Dave Coulier, bearing far many more references to the sitcom than did the Oikos yogurt folks, who reunited the trio for an upcoming Super Bowl commercial.

Just like their lovable sitcom alter-egos would have done by the end credits, all three men dutifully allayed Fallon’s fears.

“You’re going to be the host of the Tonight Show on NBC. Honey, no one can ever take that way from you,” Saget said as if addressing one of his TV daughters. Quipped Stamos: “Well, maybe Jay Leno.”

Then the trio sang him to sleep with an Elvis song, a gag from the old show.

Leno’s last day on The Tonight Show is Feb. 6.  Fallon makes his Tonight Show debut on Feb. 17.
