(JACKSON, WY) – A gray wolf was shot on private land within the boundaries of Grand Teton National Park Monday. The shooter notified Wyoming Game and Fish wardens, saying the wolf was not radio-collared and was in the company of three or four other males. Investigators with the National Park Service are unsure if the two-year-old wolf was affiliated with any packs in the Jackson Hole area. Wyoming law prohibits the harvesting of wolves inside Yellowstone and Grand Teton parks.
