Group Hopes to Legalize Marijuana in Wyoming
(JACKSON, WY) – A group of marijuana activists have submitted a ballot proposal to legalize the use of recreational marijuana in Wyoming. The law would allow anyone over the age of 21 to purchase the drug, and is modeled after similar measures in Colorado, Washington, and Wisconsin. The proposal still has to be approved by the Wyoming legislature before it can appear on the 2016 ballot. Republican Rep. Sue Wallis also plans to offer a bill this session that would decriminalize the use of medicinal marijuana.
