Jim McIsaac/Getty Images(MIAMI) — Dwayne Wade came off the bench for the first time in six years and the Miami Heat blasted the San Antonio Spurs 113-101 on Sunday.

Wade played 24 minutes and scored eight points with five assists in the win.  Chris Bosh led the way for Miami with 24 and LeBron James chipped in with 18.

“I’ve only had one practice in a while,” Wade said. “Team was in a good groove. I wanted to work my way into my rhythm.”

Tim Duncan put in a 23-point effort and Boris Diaw added 15 points in the loss.

“They kind of got in a comfort zone,” Duncan said of the Heat run that outscored them 60-31 in a 20-minute stretch. “Obviously a very good team and very good at what they do, just didn’t get them off their game at all.”

The game marked the first time these two teams played each other since their Game 7 matchup in the NBA Finals in June.

“Obviously, it brought back memories, for sure,” James said. “But it’s a regular-season game where both teams were trying to get better.”
