Idaho Falls Considering Automated Garbage Trucks

automated garbage truck

(IDAHO FALLS, ID) – The city of Idaho Falls is considering a plan to upgrade its garbage collection services. The city doesn’t have color-coordinated trash bins like those in other communities like Pocatello, and all trash collection is currently done by hand. That could change if the city upgrades to automated garbage trucks. Officials say they may gradually phase out the older trucks and replace them with new ones, and some current sanitation positions will probably be eliminated over the next year through attrition.
