(IDAHO FALLS, ID) – An Idaho Falls woman has announced her bid for state Superintendent of Public Instruction. Jana Jones, a Democrat, was defeated by current public schools chief Tom Luna in 2006. The former teacher and administrator will lobby for the support of the Idaho Education Association, which successfully persuaded Gem State voters to reject Luna’s “Students Come First” laws in 2012. Luna has not officially announced that he’ll seek re-election later this year.
