Local Missionary Struck by Car in Jamaica

Nate Martin of Moreland

MORELAND, ID) – A local star athlete serving an LDS mission in Jamaica is recovering after being hit by a car last week.
19-year-old Nate Martin of Moreland was riding a bicycle when he was struck on Friday. After a five-hour brain surgery, officials say Martin was able to recognize people around him and also move his arms and legs. Martin’s parents, Bill and Kimrie, flew to Jamaica to be with their son on Monday. Martin graduated from Snake River High School in 2013, and led the Panthers to 3A state championships in football, basketball, and baseball.
