Museum’s South Pole Exhibit Opens
Published at(IDAHO FALLS, ID) – The Museum of Idaho is hosting a new exhibit featuring artifacts from the international race to the South Pole nearly a century ago. Officials say the exhibit, which will stay in Idaho through September, has only been displayed at two other museums in the U.S. — New York City and Washington, D.C. Displays include artifacts from British explorer Robert Falcon and his rival, Norwegian Roald Amundsen, who was the first man to make it to the South Pole. The exhibit officially opens on Friday.
