NBA Starting All Star Rosters Announced
Published at(NEW YORK) — The fans have spoken and the 2014 NBA All Star game starting rosters have been decided.
Four first-timers — Stephen Curry, Kevin Love, Kyrie Irving and Paul George — made the roster that was announced Thursday.
Besides Irving and George, the Eastern Conference squad features two Miami players – leading vote-getter LeBron James and Dwyane Wade – as well as New York’s Carmelo Anthony.
The Western Conference consists of Curry and Love as well as Oklahoma City’s Kevin Durant (leading vote-getter in the West), the Lakers’ Kobe Bryant and the Clippers Blake Griffin.
This will be Bryant’s 16th All Star selection, second-most in NBA history only to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
The reserves will be determined in a vote by the league’s head coaches and will be announced next Thursday.
The game takes place Feb. 16 in New Orleans.
