Nuart Theater Being Renovated

(BLACKFOOT, ID) – The historic Nuart Theater in Blackfoot is getting a facelift. Rhonda Wixom says she’s spent the past year-and-a-half repainting the interior walls, ceilings, and balcony, thanks to a $30,000 grant from the city of Blackfoot. The Blackfoot Community Players are also considering a plan to show movies in the building, which is also the first place silent films were screened in Idaho in the 1920s. They say it’s very rare to have a building nearly a century old to be in good condition.
