A Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index released Thursday says this is the lowest percentage without health coverage since December 2012.

It seems to be the unemployed who are mostly taking advantage of ACA exchanges with the rate of uninsured in that category falling 6.7 percent in just a month.  The rate of non-white Americans who lack medical coverage has also dropped 2.3 percent.

However, the group the Obama administration is most interested in getting to enroll remains resistant to signing up for health care coverage.  The rate of uninsured people ages 18-34 only fell by 0.2 percent since December.

Young people are the key to the success of the ACA since wide participation will help to keep premiums lower for the rest of Americans.
