Presidents Obama, Clinton Send Well Wishes to Barbara Bush
Published at(WASHINGTON) — President Obama wished former first lady Barbara Bush, 88, a swift recovery on Wednesday, after Bush was hospitalized in Houston, Texas on Tuesday.
Bush suffered from early signs of pneumonia.
“Michelle and I send our best wishes to Mrs. Bush for a speedy recovery,” President Obama said in a statement from Hawaii where he and his family are on their winter vacation. “Barbara is blessed to have both a loving, supportive family by her side and a vibrant spirit that we hope will have her feeling better soon.”
“I know I speak for Americans everywhere when I say that our thoughts and prayers are with Barbara and her family on this New Year’s Day,” he added.
Well wishes also came earlier Wednesday from former President Bill Clinton who tweeted:
I’ll be rooting for Barbara Bush’s full recovery while she’s rooting for Baylor today. All my best to her and @GeorgeHWBush.
