(REXBURG, ID) – The city of Rexburg has hired a firm to help determine where to relocate the airport. Officials say the airport is too small to support current traffic demands, and Mayor Rich Woodland remains committed to finding a different area for flights in and out of town. When the airport was originally constructed, nearly all of Rexburg’s homes were east of the airport. Now the city has residential areas on all sides of the airport. The contract will be financed with money set aside for a now-scrapped plan to expand the current location.
