School Board: Coach’s Firing “Unfair”

(POCATELLO, ID) – The Pocatello-Chubbuck School Board has approved a grievance panel’s decision that the firing of Coach Laraine Cook was unfair. Cook was fired from her job as the head coach of the Pocatello High School varsity girl’s basketball team in October after someone complained about Facebook photo. The picture showed varsity football coach Tom Harrison with his hand on Cook’s chest while the pair were vacationing. Cook will be offered her former job as a substitute teacher as well as the head coaching position for next year’s girls basketball season.
