NFL via Getty Images(RENTON, Wash.) — After missing most of the regular and postseason in his first year with the Seattle Seahawks, the team expects wide receiver Percy Harvin will suit up and play in Super Bowl XLVIII.

“We practice on Wednesday and there’s a very good chance he will practice, based on how he was over the weekend,” Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said when asked about Harvin. “He was in pretty good shape on the weekend. He still has to go through a couple of clearances, but we’re kind of counting on him to be ready.”

During the offseason, the Seahawks gave up multiple draft picks to acquire the dynamic Harvin from the Minnesota Vikings.

But due to various injuries, Harvin has appeared in just two games for the team this season, totalling four catches for 38 yards.

When healthy, the 25-year-old Harvin is an explosive play maker, but he’s had trouble staying on the field. He’s missed 22 games over the past two regular seasons.
