Siddoway Backs Otter’s Wolf Control Plan
Published at(TERRETON, ID) – Republican Sen. Jeff Siddoway of Terreton is speaking out in favor of Governor Butch Otter’s proposed wolf control measures. Siddoway, who owns thousands of sheep, lost 176 to wolf attacks in August alone, and says he’d support any legislation aimed at reducing the number of wolves in Idaho. The plans call for a five-member board to coordinate wolf control efforts. None of the $2 million in funds being set aside to finance the measures would be used to reimburse farmers or ranchers who lose livestock to wolf predation.
