Simpson Pushing Bill For More INL Funding

(WASHINGTON, DC) – U.S. Rep. Mike Simpson is pushing a federal bill that would boost funding at the Idaho National Laboratory by more than $20 million. It’s all part of a budget for the Department of Energy’s Office of Nuclear Energy, which now stands at $889 million, roughly $150 million more than what President Obama requested. Simpson says the legislation would fully fund the INL’s security force and provide additional funds for nuclear research programs and cleanup projects.
