A source tells ESPN’s Joe Schad that Georgia’s Todd Grantham has accepted a five-year deal at with the Cardinals worth approximately $1 million per year.

Grantham has spent the past four seasons as the defensive coordinator at Georgia, leading the Bulldogs to a fifth overall defense in 2011. The 47-year old installed a 3-4 scheme in Athens that led to an increase in both sacks and takeaways.

Prior to Georgia, Grantham spent multiple season in the NFL working with Dallas, Houston, Celeveland and Indianapolis. He was also a coach on the collegiate level at both Michigan State and Virginia Tech.

Louisville hired Bobby Petrino, who coached the Cardinals from 2003-2006, earlier in the week and have also reportedly hired UAB’s Garrick McGee as the teams offensive coordinator. McGee held the same position at Arkansas under Petrino.
