In a news release, Michigan head coach Brady Hoke thanks Borges for his time with the program.

“Decisions like this are never easy,” Hoke said of Borges, who joined him in Ann Arbor in 2010. “I have a great amount of respect for Al as a football coach and, more importantly, as a person.”

Nussmeier has spent the last two season as the offensive coordinator under Nick Saban at Alabama, helping to take the school to a national championship in 2013. He was also the quarterbacks coach for the Crimson Tide in both years.
