Tiger Woods Misses Cut At Torrey Pines With A 79
Published at(SAN DIEGO) — Tiger Woods missed the cut in the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines on Saturday when he shot a 7-over 79, matching his worst career score for a tournament played in the United States.
Beginning on the back nine on the South course, the 14-time Major champion double-bogeyed the 18th and first hole, then proceeded to bogeyed holes two through six.
Woods came into the tournament as the defending champion, having won at Torrey Pines eight-times during his pro career. The course is also the site of his last major championship victory, when he edged out Rocco Mediate in the first hole of a sudden-death playoff in the 2008 U.S. Open.
