Two Killed in New Year’s Eve Crash

(INKOM, ID) – Two people were killed in an icy crash along I-15 near Inkom Tuesday night. 19-year-old Andre Lopez of Chubbuck was headed southbound when he hit an icy patch, lost control, drove through the median, and struck a northbound vehicle head-on. Two passengers in Lopez’s car, who Idaho State Police identified as 21-year-old Jacob Arnold and 19-year-old Nicolas Borzog-Omid, were pronounced dead at the scene. Seven people were taken to Portneuf Medical Center for treatment. Lopez was listed in critical condition as of Wednesday night.
