(EL SEGUNDO) — With the amount of injuries the Los Angeles Lakers have had to deal with this season, the return of forward Xavier Henry to practice was a welcomed sight.
Henry will meet with team doctors on Monday and from there it will be determined if he can return to the court as early as Tuesday. Henry has been out of the action for the last couple weeks as he’s dealing with a bone bruise in his right knee.
“It’s been unbelievable,” Henry said when asked about dealing with his injury. “I’m dying over here. I don’t like watching my team lose of watching us struggle and stuff like that. So, I’m really trying to make the next step to get back as fast as I can.”
The Lakers have been in a downward spiral in recent weeks. They’ve lost nine of their last 10 games and are now 14-23, the third-worst record in the Western Conference.
In 31 games this season, Henry averaged 10.1 points per game.
