(NEW YORK) — Just six days after acquiring Danny Granger, the Philadelphia 76ers bought out the remainder of the veteran forward’s contract.
Granger was traded to the 76ers from Indiana last week for Evan Turner and Lavoy Allen.
The 30-year-old Granger missed almost all of last season with a knee injury and didn’t play this season until Dec. 20 because of an ankle injury.
According to Marc Stein and Ramona Shelburne of ESPN.com, the front-runner to obtain Granger’s services is the Los Angeles Clippers. It is also reported Granger will listen to the San Antonio Spurs, Chicago Bulls, Houston Rockets, and Dallas Mavericks.
Granger, a former All-Star, has played in 544 NBA games, averaging 17.6 points, 5.1 rebounds, two assists and one steal per contest.
