Anthony Davis Day-to-Day with Shoulder Injury

Lisa Blumenfeld/Getty Images(NEW YORK) — New Orleans Pelicans forward Anthony Davis is listed as day-to-day after suffering a left shoulder sprain during the team’s loss to the Dallas Mavericks Wednesday.
Davis, the Pelicans’ leading scorer and rebounder, injured his shoulder in the second quarter and left the game during the next timeout. He later returned to the bench with his arm in a sling and didn’t play another minute.
“It’s difficult, but guys have been in and out all year,” Pelicans guard Eric Gordon said. “We’ve just got to keep on adjusting.”
Davis, the first pick in the 2012 NBA Draft, has played in 49 games this season averaging 20.2 points and 10.2 rebounds per game; he leads the league in blocked shots.
