(CLEVELAND) — It didn’t take Kyle Shanahan long to find work.
Cleveland Browns head coach Mike Pettine named Shanahan the team’s new offensive coordinator Monday, just over a month after Shanahan was fired from the same position with the Washington Redskins.
Shanahan also interviewed with the Dolphins and Ravens for coordinator jobs.
The 34-year-old Shanahan spent the past four seasons as the Redksins’ OC. Last season, Shanahan’s offense finished ninth in in the NFL in total yards per game (369.7) and fifth in rushing (135.3).
Shanahan takes over an offense that finished 18th overall and tied for 27th in rushing.
