(BERKELEY, Calif.) — Golden Bears guard Justin Cobbs hit a step-back jumper with 0.9 seconds as California (15-7) upended (1) Arizona (21-1) on Saturday Night at Haas Pavilion, 60-58. It’s the Wildcats first loss of the season.
After Cobbs scored the game-winner, fans rushed the court, but Arizona called a time-out for their last possession. Head coach Mike Montgomery and security had to send the fans back to the stands.
Cobbs scored a team-high 19 points, including Cal’s final 12 points of the game. He also had seven assists, while teammate, David Kravish had 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Cal improves to 3-24 all-time against top ranked opponents.
