Christie ‘Bridgegate’ Scandal: Lawmakers Receive More Documents
Published at(TRENTON, N.J.) — Lawmakers are receiving more documents Monday about the traffic scandal engulfing New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie’s administration.
The legislative committee investigating lane closures at the George Washington Bridge said it has “begun receiving material responsive to its subpoenas.” The committee will have to wait longer for other records since many of those ordered to produce them asked for extensions.
Lawmakers want to see emails and text messages between members of the Christie administration and the agency responsible for the bridge, hoping they reveal more about the origin of the lane closures.
