NFL via Getty Images(INDIANAPOLIS) — The Indianapolis Colts have hired Rob Chudzinski to be head coach Chuck Pagano’s special assist, the team announced on Saturday.

Chudzinski was fired by the Cleveland Browns in December after the team went 4-12 in his first year.

“Rob and I have a long professional relationship and his résumé speaks for itself,” Pagano said in a statement released by the team. “He brings a wealth of knowledge and will be a tremendous help to our entire team moving forward.

“Needless to say, we’re excited to have ‘Chud’ joining our family.”

Chudzinski and Pagano were part of the Browns staff in 2004 together and also the University of Miami’s coaching staff from 1995-2000.
