(BOISE, ID) – The Idaho Supreme Court has ruled that gay and lesbian couples have the right to adopt children.  In a unanimous decision issued Monday, the high court ruled that Darcy Drake-Simpson can legally adopt both children she’s raised with her partner over the past 15 years. The couple has been together since 1995, and was legally married in California last year, though Idaho doesn’t officially recognize their union. Justice Jim Jones noted that Idaho law contains no provisions that limit adoptions to married couples only.
