DOD to Test Near Teton Dam

(REXBURG, ID) – The U.S. Department of Defense is planning to conduct an experiment near the Teton Dam. Authorities want to use the equivalent of 190 pounds of TNT to monitor explosive shock waves through volcanic
rock. The results of the study will help determine the possible outcomes of an underground terrorist attack. Organizers say it will have very little environmental impact, and that the site will be cleaned up once the exercise is complete
