Flea Catching Flak for Alleged Air Guitar Performance at Halftime Show

Theo Wargo/FilmMagic(NEW YORK) — The Red Hot Chili Peppers performed their hit “Give It Away” during Sunday’s halftime show at Super Bowl 48, but some people are wondering how bassist Flea could perform live if his guitar wasn’t plugged into anything.
“That guitar is plugged into NOTHING,” tweeted Vernon Reid, lead guitarist for Living Colour.
