(NEW YORK) — As another NASCAR season grows closer with the Daytona 500 on Sunday, Kyle Busch is hoping to be the one celebrating at season’s end.
“We’ve been close a couple times,” Busch, who finished fourth in the race last year, told ABC Sports Radio on Thursday. “We’ve been right there. We’ve been really strong, we’ve been fast, had great years over the past few years and I’m looking forward to another one here. I feel like we have a good car.”
Busch won a Nationwide Series championship in 2009, and would like to add a Sprint Cup title to his resume.
“That’s what we work towards every single season,” Busch said. “We try to be the best and win some races and be a champion when it’s all said and done.”
“Last year we had a great year, now it’s about moving on into this year and see if we can better what we did last year,” he continued.
Busch will drive a special No. 18 M&M’S Toyota with a peanut paint scheme. The brand will also feature a special peanut garage at Daytona.
