Man Injured in Snowmobile Accident

(ISLAND PARK, ID) – A Virginia man is in critical condition following a snowmobile crash in Island Park Sunday morning. Forty-nine-year-old Michael Carmody of Appomattox, Virginia collided with a tree along a groomed trail near the Island Park Scout Camp at about 3 a.m. Despite wearing a helmet, Carmody sustained traumatic injuries to his head and face. The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
