Both sides are reportedly working on a six-year contract worth about $150 million, according to Yahoo! Sports.

The Angels selected Trout out of Millville Senior High School in Millville, New Jersey with the 25th overall pick in the 2009 MLB amateur draft.  In three big league seasons, the two-time All-Star is batting .314 with 62 home runs and 196 RBIs. He has also scored 258 runs and swiped 86 bases.

The 22-year-old Trout finished second in the American League Most Valuable Player voting in 2012 and 2013.
