Pacers Guard Lance Stephenson Upset over All-Star Snub
Published at(NEW YORK) — Despite being on the best team in the Eastern Conference and having a career season, Indiana Pacers guard Lance Stephenson is upset about not making the NBA’s All-Star game.
“I’m mad. I feel like I had my breakout year,” Stephenson told The Indianapolis Star. “I showed I can play with anyone on the floor and I felt like this year, I brought a little more to my game.”
In his fourth NBA season, Stevenson has been a key member in the Pacers rise in the Eastern Conference standings, as they have the best record in the conference.
While Stephenson won’t be going to the game as of now, Paul George and Roy Hibbert were both selected for the game.
“We all feel for him,” George said, according to The Star. “We’re all upset for him.”
The 23-year-old Stephenson is averaging 14.2 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 5.4 assists per game this season.
