Rigby Snowboarder Moves to Semifinals

(RIGBY, ID) – An Olympic athlete from Rigby has moved to the semifinals in the women’s slopestyle competition. Twenty-two-year-old Jessika Jenson finished in the top four of her qualifying round, allowing her a chance to compete in the semifinals and finals on Sunday in Sochi, Russia. The 2009 graduate of Rigby High School has been snowboarding for 12 years and is competing in her first Olympic Games. Salt Lake City resident Torah Bright, who won gold for her home country of Australia in 2010, has already qualified for the finals.
