(AMMON, ID) – Opponents to a $92 million bond for Bonneville School District 93 say the measure is going to cost much more in the long run. Randy Trane says the 30-year bond will end up costing taxpayers $204 million, and doesn’t do enough to alleviate traffic concerns. The district wants to build a new high school, middle school, another other projects, including a new football stadium. The district purchased 80 acres for the project in 2009, and administrators say they’ve been clear that interest over 30 years will more than double the $92 million price tag. Voting will be held March 11.
