Delta flight 4454 from Los Angeles touched down at Oakland International Airport, during which the plane’s rear cabin reportedly filled with smoke. An airline spokesperson told ABC News that it wasn’t an evacuation, as passengers deplaned normally after a routine landing.

In a video shot by passenger Linton Johnson, travellers are seen leaving the plane as a flight attendant gives directions. Johnson posted the video to Facebook, writing, “I started smelling smoke right after we landed, but the scent wasn’t strong at first. As we pulled near the gate the pilots slammed on the breaks and the flight attendants scrambled to open the emergency exits.” Another status said that Delta Airlines personnel did “a great job.”

There were no reports of injuries among the 75 travellers and other crew members on board the flight, which was a SkyWest Delta Connection carrier.

Airline officials told ABC News there were no mechanical issues and an investigation will look into possible causes.
