American moguls skier Heidi Kloser is the latest athlete to pull out of the Games after fracturing her femur and tearing her ACL during a warm-up run Thursday.

“Unfortunately I had a bad crash in training before qualifying and injured my knee,” the 21-year-old Colorado native wrote on Facebook. “Thank you everyone for all of your support.”

Kloser’s crash came two days after American snowboard star Shaun White dropped out of the slopestyle competition after deeming the course too “intimidating.”

“After much deliberation with my team, I have made the decision to focus solely on trying to bring home the third straight gold medal in halfpipe for Team USA,” White wrote on Facebook.

Finnish snowboarder Marika Enn was carried off the slopestyle course in a stretcher after a crash landing Tuesday during training, and men’s slopestyle favorite Torstein Horgmo of Norway broke his collarbone Monday.

The finals for slopestyle snowboarding and moguls are this weekend.
