Steve Nash Re-Injures Left Leg
(LOS ANGELES) -- Los Angeles Lakers point guard Steve Nash left Sunday's game against the Chicago Bulls with nerve irritation in his left leg and did not return.
Nash's leg made contact with Bulls guard Kirk Hinrich during the third quarter in the same spot where he suffered a fracture last season.
"I just took a knee to the spot where I broke my leg," Nash said. "Ever since I did that I've had a lot of nerve issues there and it just really flared up on me. I don't think it's going to be a long-term thing at all. Hopefully it's something that can just settle down this week, hopefully by Tuesday."
The Lakers will host the Utah Jazz on Tuesday. Nash will be re-evaluated Monday before determining whether or not he will be able to play.
The 40-year-old Nash is averaging 8.2 points and 5.0 assists in just nine games this season for the struggling Lakers.
