Sun Valley Woman Wins Olympic Gold

(SUN VALLEY, ID) – Idaho now has two gold medal winners in the Sochi Olympics. Kaitlyn Farrington of Sun Valley won the ladies’ snowboarding halfpipe competition on Wednesday. Team U.S.A. has three gold medals thus far, one of which was claimed by Sage Kotsenburg of Coeur d’Alene in the men’s snowboarding slopestyle event. Farrington’s biggest competitor was Salt Lake City resident Torah Bright, who won a silver medal for her home country of Australia.
