Tom Coughlin Agrees to Contract Extension
Published at(INDIANAPOLIS) — Despite a disappointing 2013 season, New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin has received a one-year contract extension that will keep him with the team through the 2015 season.
Coughlin broke the news to reporters Friday at the NFL scouting combine.
“I didn’t pay a whole lot of attention to it, to be honest with you,” Coughlin said when talking about the extension. “We’ve had a lot of work going on in our building. I had great confidence it would happen, and it did.”
Coughlin, 67, was entering the final year of a three-year extension he received after winning the 2012 Super Bowl that pays him $6.7 million per season.
