(PISCATAWAY, N.J.) — Sean Kilpatrick was too much for Rutgers to handle on Saturday in Cincinnati’s 70-66 win over the Scarlet Knights.
Kilpatrick scored 24 and his biggest basket came late in the second half when he made a layup and was fouled on the play to give the Bearcats a 68-64 lead after making the free throw.
With the win, Cincinnati (26-5, 15-3) clinched a share of the American Athletic Conference regular-season title with No. 11 Louisville, who beat Connnecticut on Saturday.
Justin Jackson followed Kilpatrick’s performance with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
