(IDAHO FALLS, ID) – About 40 protesters stood on the Broadway Bridge in Idaho Falls Wednesday to raise awareness for gay rights. Organizers wanted to show solidarity with the Add the Words activists in Boise, dozens of whom have been arrested multiple times for trespassing at the Capitol. Former state Sen. Nicole LeFavour, who has spearheaded the protests, wants the legislature to amend the Idaho Human Rights Act to better accommodate the LGBT community on issues of housing, employment, and public services.
